The second volume expands the cast and dials up the absurdist register. Nyquil gator dreams is the standout title — gator meets pharmaceutical brand name, dreams used as a verb almost. Lusty crawfish fuck hard and robo turtles party push the naming into more explicitly energetic territory than Vol. I. The “robo” prefix (robo turtles, robo whale) introduces a mechanical dimension to the underwater ecosystem that persists through the series.
Doll fins is a pun on “dolphins” — the kind of small sonic joke embedded in a tracklist that rewards close reading.
