The first SUNPOWER release and the second in the broader [___]POWER family (moonpower preceded it by 23 days, on May 7, 2010). Released within the same fertile spring 2010 period that also produced moonpower, SUNPOWER2, BELLPOWER, and DANCEPOWER.
The track titles shift register from the aquatic vocabulary of the underwaters series toward something warmer and more domestic: hoops, stress busting, three clock, romantidrunk, minutes, happened. The suffix “drunk” in romantidrunk (romantic + drunk) is a characteristic Colin portmanteau. Three clock likely refers to 3am — time as emotional state rather than measure.
