The second “octobrr” — Colin’s returning to the misspelling a year on. The largest album in the album-a-month series by track count (21 tracks), OCTOBRR2010 is the October that went biggest. Released October 29, two days before Halloween.
“djgeniepants” and “djtobyghost” — two DJ persona names in one album. “DJgenie” and “DJtoby” (as ghost) signal an emerging interest in DJ and MC naming conventions that will later manifest in the DJpooLsiDe project. These are characters as much as tracks.
“romantibunk” — the third in the romanti- portmanteau series: romantipunk (octobrr09), romantidrunk (SUNPOWER, 2010), romantibunk (OCTOBRR2010). A running joke or a running feeling, stretched across two years.
“get all goofy spooky” is the October album’s one explicitly Halloween-adjacent track. “simba color autumn tide” brings the Lion King into an autumn landscape. “marcher gargoyles” — October gothic imagery.
“discipline” (track 07) is the most austere title in the catalog — a single abstract noun, no description, no animal. It reads like a contrast to the surrounding chaos.
“and out yo” closes the album: the most casual goodbye in the catalog.
