Project: alphabets
Series: [___]POWER — [___]POWER family (chronologically first)
File date: 2010-05-07
Archive location: _Documentation/Music/alphabets/moonpower
Tracks: 10
The chronologically first release in the [___]POWER family (May 7, 2010 — predating SUNPOWER by 23 days), and the largest by track count (10 tracks). Note that the archive folder is lowercase moonpower while SUNPOWER, BELLPOWER, and DANCEPOWER are uppercase — possibly a naming evolution or an intentional distinction.
moonpower has the most evocative tracklist in the family: sexy owls (nocturnal creatures, rendered glamorous), rapid eye portals (sleep/REM as architecture), pillow dizzies (half-awake sensation), whoahowwow (onomatopoeia/exclamation as title). This is nighttime music — the moon as power source rather than the sun.
Laugh necks and core eh doors are characteristically cryptic. Hey may may be a vocative — addressing May (the month? a person?). Rooms is the simplest and most ambient-sounding title, a single noun.
Crazy closes the set — a word so common it feels like a wink, after nine titles of elaborate absurdism.
