Jane Roberts (1929–1984) was an American author and psychic medium best known for channeling “Seth,” a non-physical entity, and transcribing his teachings in the Seth Material books (Seth Speaks, The Nature of Personal Reality, etc.). Roberts was influential in New Age, metaphysical, and consciousness communities. “Genie roberts” may be a play on “Jane Roberts” — phonetic near-rhyme — positioning the track as a spirit channeling of sorts, or a tribute to her work.
The folder name “for janie” (using the diminutive “Janie”) suggests this was made for a specific person named Janie (or Jane) as a chant/dance piece. Whether Janie was someone in Colin’s life who appreciated the Seth Material, or whether the pun on Jane Roberts was the entire point, is unresolved.
