Confidence: medium — single-track archive folder may indicate incomplete release or intentional single

One track: two. The minimalism is striking — BELLPOWER (a compound noun invoking the resonant power of bells) contains a single track called two (the simplest counting word). Whether this is an incomplete EP or a deliberate single is unclear. The juxtaposition of the dramatic series title with the plain track name (“two”) reads almost like a joke or a deflation.

Two could reference the second of something (the second track of a planned release that was never finished), a musical interval, a duo, or simply the number rendered as sound. The bell/two connection might invoke “two bells” — a nautical/clock reference, or a musical structure with two chords.

Released between SUNPOWER (May 30) and DANCEPOWER (July 8), BELLPOWER sits in the middle of Colin’s densest release cluster.

Archive Notes

File date: 2010-06-23 (the MP3 creation date). Single MP3 in dedicated folder. Confidence medium — could be an incomplete EP or an intentional single release. The pairing of “BELL” + “POWER” with the track title “two” is the most reductively simple entry in the [___]POWER family.
